Come on, Let Your Light Shine | Light Drives Darkness Away

You have heard it said, “Come-on, and Let Your Light Shine!” What is your light and where does it come from?

The world has many ways of telling this story. It will tell you to be kind, to give to the needy, to help a friend. Maybe to be forgiving and even forgive a debt. But how do we truly Let our Light Shine?

It has been said that Jesus is the Light of the World.

John 8:12 12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

So, if we know that Christ has taken residence within us, to say we are the Tabernacle of God… Then would not He be the Light that shines within us?

And so I say to you Believers! Yes, we will be Human, we will fail, we will not always put our best foot forward or walk a perfect path! However, when we spend more time thinking about Jesus and His ways… We start to find His ways start to come out of us!

When we study the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5, we learn that Christ is trying to show the Truth for the very first time to His People! He speaks of the Law, but not in a way that we should follow, but in a way that defines all the ways we could never live up to! He speaks of every law and points out how utterly impossible it is to follow by one man! That no matter how well we do, there will always be a deeper reasoning as to why we have not upheld the law. In this we find the reason why Jesus came to fulfill the law within us!

He is able when we are not, He wants to even when we don’t want to! He finds a way when we see no way and He can develop understanding when all is confusion.

Christ is the Light that we all speak of! In every religion, in every practice, we speak of letting our light shine. When will we see that Christ is the only Light that will light the world in such a wonderful way that all will be saved.

Christ never asks us to be anything we are not. We are Human and He understands that even more than we will ever understand our own struggle. But He says, By Him and Him alone can we be saved.

2 Corinthians 12:9
9. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Let us stand in our weakness and still Glorify His Name! Let us be Human and stand Strong by what He does through us! Let us Claim Victory in this Life over All Things, for it is by Him that the battle is already won!

Hallelujah! We have so much Power in the Life of Christ that resides within us! When we Let His Light Shine, instead of what we conceive as Light, so much more happens!

So, let us not define what that Light is within us rather hold onto Faith in Weakness. Rather Pray rather than quote scripture to one another. Rather encourage than correct! Rather, Let Him do the work, rather than we doing it ourselves.

Come on, Believers Let Your Light Shine! Let Jesus shine on your bad day! Let Him shine when you visit work, when you come home, when you’re talking to clients, suffering traffic, dealing with pain, fighting an argument and even when you’re with friends hanging out! Let His way in You be the Light that others see and watch a magnificent shedding of truth be exposed before you.

God has a plan to bring you into His working Kingdom and there is a place for every head under His roof. He has expanded His Kingdom just for You! Be in the Glory given to us so Freely and be proud to be a Sun in the Universe!
