Work & Religion

I do believe that Christ started his ministry when he turned 30. He was a carpenter and then all he did was his ministry. But, if you were to ask Him to speak of carpentry once He was in ministry, He would have found a way to make them relate to one another.
To further explain my image quote, I do confess faith in my workplace, if I didn’t, I would be lying to what I truly believe in.  Personally, I cannot afford to not keep a job, but I will not stop ministry just because I’m at my job or workplace. I will always speak of God, share the Lord, and Be with Him in all things I do.

People, associates, even friends and relatives say a lot of “sayings” that I personally do not live by and I have no problem saying so. For instance, “just tell a story to make the sale, it doesn’t hurt them if it’s not true” and I disagree and refuse to lie to make a sale. There are a lot of different examples of this in my type of work and I’m one of the very few who won’t play the games.

I do not see God in anything man-made. All that is made my man is of ADAM not GOD. But isn’t that what TOKOGAE (Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil) wants us to believe? The proof that we ourselves can emulate God? What a great idea if we as humans could be so wonderful.

“just be saved already, its free”

But alas, the Good Lord has brought me to the very bottom of myself these past few years. He has made it so clear to me that I either walk with him or I don’t. There is absolutely no separation between me and the Lord because He lives INSIDE OF ME! I am His INHERITANCE! And He walks with me through every single experience so that I can learn more about HOW HE THINKS and not what I think!

It has transformed me! I know that FAITH is not from us, but FROM HIM! We aren’t able to constantly believe and follow Him! But Christ is able to do it for us! That’s who Christ is to us! Our Savior! Our ADVOCATE! Why is He called this? Because we can’t, but he can.

What does the Bible say about faith?

Ephesians 2:8–9 (ESV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

I cannot boast in anything! Without God I am NOTHING! That is why I don’t see Christ’s love in anything but the Cross. We have absolutely NOTHING TO BOAST IN BECAUSE GOD DID THE WORK OF OUR SALVATION!

I personally choose to make God apart of every single happening in my life and every part of my life because when I do, things work out. I have seen life done my way, and I like God’s will for me much better. So I choose not to separate these things.

Always in friendship.
